Supplier Data Collection & Collaboration

Supplier environmental data, solved for both sides of the request

Enterprises collect product carbon footprints from hundreds of suppliers; suppliers are asked to produce them. Minviro builds the workflow for both: one footprint — quality-scored and evidenced — that satisfies every customer, framework, and Scope 3 request.

We will use the session to match you with the analyst who would run your project.

global supply chains

collected and managed primary supplier data, across 12+ industries, from raw material sites to finished components.

Sound, reliable life cycle data is critical for the nickel industry, and the standard we hold it to is high: ISO 14040/44 conformity, independent critical review, and genuine geographical and technological representativeness. Working with Minviro on primary data collection across global producers, that standard was met.

Supplier Data

A supplier data request is really a request for a defensible product carbon footprint.

What the enterprise collecting environmental footprints needs, what the supplier producing them needs, and the one thing that serves both.

Turn hundreds of supplier engagements into streamlined Scope 3 coverage

Most of your footprint sits upstream in the supply chain, with hundreds of suppliers who have no LCA team. Their partial, inconsistent replies become quality-scored inputs, so effort lands only where it moves the number.

Produce a product carbon footprint from primary data that serves every customer

Industrial-battery and materials suppliers must now declare a verified footprint from primary data. Have your own production data become an ISO-compliant PCF, for one product or a hundred.

Share supplier data without exposing what's commercially sensitive

Suppliers hold back data they don't want competitors or customers to see. In XYCLE, role-based access lets each party control what they share and what stays private, without exposing unnecessary confidential details.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

Why supplier data collection works better inside an LCA model

Minviro brings methodology, workflow, sector data, and experts together, for both sides.

Structured proof without unwanted exposure in the market

A supplier can send a carbon number; a buyer needs to know how good it is. Every input in a Minviro footprint is scored for data quality and traced to source, so the result arrives with the evidence a customer, framework or regulator will ask for.

Trusted data without the supplier carrying the verification cost

Trusted data without the supplier carrying the verification cost

Suppliers won’t pay for third-party verification; buyers can’t trust data that hasn’t had it. Minviro sits in that gap — Verified LCA practitioners in the loop on both sides — so a footprint is defensible without forcing the supplier to fund an audit or the buyer to carry the risk.

Model the supplier you haven't chosen yet

Model the supplier you haven't chosen yet

You shouldn't have to pick a supplier, or wait for one, to know your footprint. Minviro's upstream sector data models the routes and regions you're sourcing from before any data arrives, so your footprint becomes a sourcing decision you make early, not a report you assemble late.

Sector datasets, not generic averages

A credible first model before a single supplier responds

Founded on PhD research into battery-material supply chains

FROM MINVIRO'S RESEARCH

What does the gap between average and actual supplier data cost, and earn?

Because for most materials, the average is wrong by several times for the specific supply chain in question. An EV battery can plausibly carry 59 or 115 kg CO₂e per kWh depending mostly on where its materials came from; aluminium ranges from under 2 kg CO₂e recycled to over 15 kg CO₂e primary. And across industrial supply chains, the bulk of a product’s footprint sits upstream, invisible to average data. It cannot tell your best supplier from your worst, which is exactly the discrimination regulators and customers now price.

CBAM

Unverified supplier data is inadmissible, you pay on conservative defaults.

HOW IT WORKS

From scoping call to living LCA model in three steps

How does the LCA process work with Minviro?

Step 1

Scope

Most scoping calls take 30 minutes: the request at hand, the data you have, what it must satisfy. You leave knowing the output, methodology, and timeline.

Step 2

Deliver

Built to ISO 14040/44 by practitioners, on your primary data, managed in XYCLE. You see the model develop as it's built. Fast-track studies run 4 to 8 weeks.

Step 3

Scale

Your model lives in XYCLE, not in a consultant's inbox. Update it when suppliers change, generate new outputs when regulations require them, and extend to new products.

DELIVERABLES

What can supplier data solutions with Minviro include?

For the teams collecting Scope 3 data, the suppliers answering them, and the regulatory, procurement, and finance leads who depend on the result.

Product Carbon Footprint
(ISO 14067)

The exact number your customer’s RFP is asking for, whether it’s driven by the EU Battery Regulation, a CBAM declaration, or another disclosure requirement, traceable to source data so it holds when a buyer or auditor pushes back.

A single, verified kg CO₂e-per-unit number with full contribution analysis showing where the emissions sit.

A primary-data gap analysis

Where supplier-specific data changes your result, and where best-fit background data credibly fills in, so collection effort targets only the inputs that move the number.

A ranked map of the gaps worth closing, built from Minviro's upstream LCA work before suppliers reply.

Data-quality scoring

The attributes OEM reviewers and verifiers inspect, scored on every input, so your customer can trust how much of the result rests on primary data and how good it is.

Source-labelled inputs with EF-aligned DQR across time, technological, and geographical representativeness.

Regulatory & exposure outputs from one model

The regulation's declaration, CBAM-aligned figures and your cost exposure, and DPP-ready data, generated from one governed model instead of rebuilt for each request.

Your default-vs-verified CBAM exposure and carbon-performance-class position, in euros and figures.

Multi-tier supplier enablement (tier 1–3)

Hands-on support that turns supplier replies into defensible data, reaching the producers behind your direct suppliers, in their language and time zone.

A scoped, managed package run with your procurement team, not a portal and a deadline.

A living, audited model

Update a supplier input and the result updates, with no restart when the data or the regulation changes, so a portfolio stays current.

Versioned throughout, with an exportable audit trail for assurance and review.

SOLUTION

Collecting footprints, or producing one?

Collecting: a practitioner maps your regulatory exposure — CBAM, the regulation, ESPR, and beyond — to the data you’re missing. Producing: see how one footprint answers every customer.
